8-9am Swimmers age 10 & Under

** We will only have afternoon practices for the first two weeks leading up to our first swim meet.

Last Practice: The final practice of the swim season for the all Sailfish swimmers will be on Monday, June 29th.

We ask that swimmer attend their age appropriate practice as much as possible. We understand that there are many siblings sets and families are busy. However, we want all of our swimmers to get the most out of their practices and each practice is geared towards a different level.

We also ask that your family try to attend either the morning or the afternoon practices as much as possible. Our team is large, so the more consistently your swimmer attends the same practice block the more that our coaches can learn the needs of each swimmer.

[Holidays]

May Practices:

OFFICIAL practices start Wednesday, May 13th.

PM Practices start Wednesday, May 13th, and will be Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

AM Practices start Thursday, May 28th, and will be Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

We kindly ask that swimmers ages 10 and under swim from 5pm-6pm and that swimmers over 10 swim from 6pm-7pm. HOWEVER, we understand that there are many sibling sets and busy families. We also understand that this time of year is VERY busy with other sports and graduations. We ask that you attend as many of these practices as possible before the meets kick off!

**We will strive to run a mock meet before TBD, HOWEVER, this is tentative on league training for volunteers! Please stay tuned!**

End of May - All of June Practices/AM Practice:

May is when our meets start! We will begin offering different practices! We ask that you please select a set time and stick to it throughout the season!

The MAJORITY of meets are on Tuesday, so practices are Monday, Thursday’s and Fridays for AM and Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays for PM. See attached schedule for conflicting dates to plan accordingly!

Also, we understand that THINGS COME UP! Dentist appointments, family activities, etc. If you need to join another practice, please let us know by emailing [email protected]

We want your kiddos in the water as much as possible and as parents, we understand that flexibility is key!

Please check the updated schedule to see the meets and more information!

Volunteering at Swim Meets

Our swim league relies on volunteers to ensure that our swim meets run smoothly. As a host team for three meets, we will need parents to help with the following positions:

Meet Official

Stroke/Turn Judge

Runners (2)

Starter

Bull Pen

Event Tracker

Data Entry

Timers (6-12)

Several of these require additional training. However, EVERYONE can time!

We will offer some training (conducted by the league officials) and will communicate this with you when the information is available.

It is mandatory for families to volunteer for at least one meet to help support your swimmer and the team. Coach Ronald will assign volunteer duties to families in advance. If you have a background in swimming and can volunteer for a more permanent role or act as a judge at the meets, please email Ronald at [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your support!
